The number of visitors to the Kohima Museum is constrained by the fact that it only opens to the public on Thursday mornings. In 2024, the Museum averaged 42 visitors per month. That number has more than doubled so far in 2025, with 86 visitors per month for January to October.
Brigadier Greville Bibby CBE, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Kohima Museum, described this increase in visitor numbers as “a very positive development”.
